Pollster John Zogby reports in our White House report card that President Obama's 2014 agenda has a poor chance of success, although it's likely immigration reform will pass because both sides want it to.
"It is the end of the year and not the end of the world. The U.S. is disengaging from Afghanistan, fewer troops are suffering casualties, there is no major commitment of troops looming.
“The economy is healing and there is no government shutdown looming either. Obamacare glitches continue but the GOP is too busy fighting within to even matter on this issue.
“Good news for them is that the Democrats are battling it out, too. New polls show the Dems losing ground on the generic congressional election ballot.
“Prospects for the president's agenda look dim for 2014 but immigration reform will happen because of one reason — it has to happen. It is as it is as we close 2013."
