Grade for April 21 - April 28: B-
"President Obama led mourners and rallied their spirits in Boston and West, Texas. He also traveled to Dallas to celebrate the launch of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. I taught history for nearly a quarter of a century and few things impress me more than photos of the 'Presidents' Club' — few people get there and seeing them together is always magisterial. So the 'chief of state' looked good but he is still locked in battle with Congress over his budget. Meanwhile, air travelers stuck in long lines have been complaining loudly about budget cuts. And more complaints will likely surface soon from other recipients of federal programs. So far, Mr. Obama has healthy numbers, but stay tuned."
