I admit that I have been watching Meet the Press since I was a little boy and my father was alive. It wasn't always "Must See TV" and I learned early that guests were on because they were important and the (chiefly) Washington reporters were from newspapers and the focus was always on tough questions that led to real answers about how a bill gets passed, how a war is avoided, what's next in energy exploration, the next manned moon venture. There was a clear national interest and what was not lost on viewers is that reporters and guests were on different sides of the desk - but they were all on the same side.
John Zogby and Sudan Sunrise Concerned with Muslim Offer to Rebuild Catholic Cathedral being Refused

"I became involved with NBA legend Manute Bol in 2010 because I believed in his mission to build schools in ravaged South Sudan and because he was a unifying figure who worked tirelessly for reconciliation of religious groups in his home nation. I am now chairman of Sudan Sunrise and we have been working closely with groups on the ground to build a new Catholic Church that was destroyed by Muslims gangs. It is Muslims themselves who reached out to us." John Zogby, Chairmen of the Board.
Sadly, the offer of young Sudanese Muslims to help rebuild the Catholic Cathedral in Torit, South Sudan has been refused by Vatican and Diocesan authorities, as per an Official Notice released by spokesperson, Fr. Mark Opere Omol on May 7.

Grade for April 29 - May 05: A-
"It was a good week for the president. The unemployment rate is down to 7.5 percent. Jobs are now growing at 208,000 a month in the past six months. Yes, there are way too many people unemployed and underemployed, or just out of the labor force. But this is the same barometer we have always used to grade presidents before and things are pointed up. Some want to raise the Benghazi terrorist killings as a negative, but to date, it has not caught on with the public. Obama Press Secretary Jay Carney gave an arrogant response on the issue at a briefing, but it is not hurting the president. And the icing on the cake: Obama was funnier than Conan O'Brien at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner last week and no one is funnier than Conan."
